The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in not considering the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2024, seeking rectification of the error committed in recording the petitioner's date of birth in the service records. It is submitted that the petitioner was born on 24.04.1978 and that the application submitted by the petitioner, along with a copy of the driving licence, would indicate that the petitioner had mentioned his date of birth as 24.04.1978. Likewise, the driving licence filed along with the application also indicates that the petitioner's date of birth is mentioned as 24.04.1978. 2. It is further submitted that the petitioner came to know about the error committed by the respondents in entering the date of birth of the petitioner in the service record after verifying the salary slip, wherein the date of birth was mentioned as 18.03.1973. In this regard, the petitioner relies upon the circular dated 23.05.2019 issued by the respondent Corporation pertaining to entries regarding to dates of birth of employees in service records and the guidelines relating thereto. 3. It is submitted that the petitioner was examined by the Civil Assistant Surgeon/Assistant Medical Officer, and a certificate was issued on 20.08.2005 certifying that the petitioner was aged 32 years and was working as Driver Grade-II, Class-I. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation 4 HN, J W.P.No.29203_2025 seeking indulgence of the respondents in rectifying the date of birth from 18.03.1973 to 24.04.1978. 4. No counter has been filed. 5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel for respondents. 6. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is restricting his prayer to seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner in terms of the circular dated 23.05.2019 and to pass appropriate orders thereon. 7. Considering the same, the writ petitioner is disposed off directing respondent Nos.2 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2024 in terms of circular dated 23.05.2019 and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order. The order so passed shall be communicated to the petitioner. It is also submitted a copy of the doctor's certificate, wherein the age of the petitioner was mentioned as 32 years as on 18.03.2008. There shall be no order as to costs.
