and P.S. Hindpiri, District Ranchi (Jharkhand)
… … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand
... … Opposite Party
------
CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH
----- For the Petitioner: M/s. Rakesh Kumar, Advocate For the State : M/s. Tarun Kumar, A.P.P
---
02/25.07.2025 Heard the Parties.
Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Sukhdeo Nagar P.S. Case No. 177/2024(N) corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No. 36/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 21B/22 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Spl. Judge, N.D.P.S., Ranchi.
Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this court vide B.A. No. 8164 of 2024 by order dated 05.12.2024.
On 07.04.2024, Sukhdeo Nagar Police, apprehended the petitioner from Auto Stand, New Market, Ratu Road and seized 10 grams of brown sugar from his possession. It appears that the petitioner is accused in as many as 18 cases of serious nature. It also appears that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of intermediary quantity.
Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case; I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected.
