Kaushik, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam has submitted that as per report, there is no record of any FIR or case registered against the present petitioners, namely, (1) Kanchan Sil Das (2) Moni Mazumdar (3) Manju Singha, Manju Das Singha in the Lanka PS. I have also perused the aforesaid report dated 05.09.2025 wherein it is stated that after checking records no thing adverse has been found against the present petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he still has apprehension and contends that the petitioner may be harassed by the police. In view of the aforesaid nature of the report, there is no basis of apprehension of arrest and therefore, the petition for anticipatory bail would not be maintainable at the moment. Needless to say, that the police shall proceed as per law, respecting the legitimate rights of the citizens. Accordingly, the instant anticipatory bail stands disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
