Though the petitioner had died while on duty on 24.01.2022, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the husband of the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 10.09.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary of the deceased employee and paid to the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
