) It is heartening to note that with sincere efforts of the learned Mediator Ms. Anjali Soni Verma, the parties have been able to bring home the settlement whereby it has been agreed that the appellant Ranveer Singh would withdraw the instant appeal in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties as finds mention in paras 2 and 3 of the mediation report which read as under:-
“2. Both the parties have stated that their marriage was solemnized as per the customs prevailing in the areas and thereafter both the parties resided together as husband and wife. Out of this wedlock no child was born. Both the parties have stated they are living separately since for the year 2019 and there is no matrimonial relationship with each other during that period. 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the Judgment?Yes

It is also agreed by both the parties that petitioner- Shri Ranveer Singh shall pay a total sum of 1,50,000/- (one lacs ₹1,50,000/- (one lacs fifty thousand only) as a permanent alimony being a full and final settlement of all the matrimonial disputes and respondent will not claim anything from movable and immovable properties of petitioner after getting one time settlement amount. Both the parties have agreed that they can file a joint petition under Section 13(b) of Hindu Marriage Act for the dissolution of marriage before learned District Judge/Family Court, Sirmour, District at Nahan, H.P. and on the same day petitioner- Shri Ranveer Singh shall pay a sum of 50,000/- to respondent- ₹1,50,000/- (one lacs Smt. Leela Devi.
Thereafter, the petitioner shall pay a sum of ₹1,50,000/- (one lacs50,000/- in between 1 st May to 15th May, 2025 to the respondent- Smt. Leela Devi and the remaining amount in the sum of 50,000/- will be paid by the petitioner- Shri Ranveer ₹1,50,000/- (one lacs Singh to the respondent- Smt. Leela Devi on the second date of hearing of the petition, filed by both the parties, before the Court of learned District Judge/Family Court, Sirmour, District at Nahan, H.P.”
2. Accordingly, the present appeal is dismissed as withdrawn in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties. The mediation report dated 03.01.2025 as well as statements recorded vide annexures P1 and P2 accompanying the same shall form part of the decree. (Tarlok Singh Chauhan)
