For the Respondents: Mr. Nitin Thakur, Advocate. _______________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral): By way of instant petition, petitioner has prayed for following main relief:- “a) Directing the respondents to issue the formal notification for the promotion of the Petitioner from Professor (Academic Level 14) to Senior Professor (Academic Level 15) under CAS, and to release all consequential financial benefits accruing therefrom, along interest @ 9% per annum, with retrospective effect from the due date of his promotion as approved by the Executive Council, within a strict time- bound manner.” 2. Before reply could be received on behalf of the respondents, learned counsel representing the petitioner, while making this Court peruse judgment dated 17.06.2025 passed by this Court in CWP No.11245 of 2024, titled as Dr. Bhawani Singh Vs. H.P. University, on instructions, states that his client would be 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 content and satisfied in case his pending representation (Annexure P-8) is considered and decided by the competent authority in light of the aforesaid judgment, in a time bound manner. 3. Mr. Nitin Thakur, learned counsel, representing the respondents- University, not opposed the aforesaid prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. Consequently, in view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the pending representation (Annexure P-8) of the petitioner in terms of aforesaid judgment passed by this Court in Dr. Bhawani Singh’s case (supra) expeditiously, preferably within a period of two weeks. Ordered accordingly. Needless to say, authority concerned, while doing the needful in terms of instant order, shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass detailed speaking order thereupon taking note of the judgment rendered by this Court, wherein issue otherwise sought to be decided in the instant proceedings already stands adjudicated. Liberty is reserved to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings in appropriate court of law, if he still remains aggrieved. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
