SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5429 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners/Al to A3, seeking regular bail, in CrI'me No.68 of 2025 of Visakhapatnam Government Railway Police Station. 2. A case has been registered agaI'nSt the Petitioners and Others for the offence punishable under section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c), 29(1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 22.02.2025, the informant/K. Rama Krishna, IPF/RPF, Visakhapatnam RPF post, along with his staff, while conducting checking at public locations near Gate No.5 of Plat Form No.8 of Visakhapatnam Railway Station, found Al to A3 in possession of 33 packets containing 60 KGs of Ganja worth of Rs.3,OO,000/-. The said Ganja was seized under the cover of mediators report and Al to A3 were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were arrested on 21.02.2025 and they were remanded to judicial custody and that since then they are languishing in jail. 5l Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major portion of the investigation has been completed and there are no previous '2 || antecedents in respect of the petitioners herein. It is further submitted that charge sheet could not be filed for want of RFSL report and except the same, no further investigation is pending. 6. Heard. Perused the record. 7l The petitioners were arrested and sent to J'udiCial remand on 22.02.2025 and since then they are in jail. Since it is submitted by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that major portion of the investigation has been completed except receipt of RFSL report-and the petitioners are languishing in jail since more than four months, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. 8. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioners/ Accused Nos.1 to 3 shall be released on bail on executing a personal bond for Rs,10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned vI Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class for Railways-cum-VI Additional Judicial Civil Judge, Visakhapatnam.
