Patgiri, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. A Borthakur, learned counsel, appearing on behalf of Mr. P. Nayak, learned Standing Counsel, BTC for respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6 as well as Mr. A Chaliha, learned Standing Counsel, Finance Department, Assam for respondent Nos. 2 and 9. 2. By filing this writ petition, the petitioners have sought for a direction to the respondent authorities to regularize the services of the petitioners as Assistant Teacher as per the policy decision of the State respondents pursuant to the order of this Court dated 06.02.2015 passed in a batch of writ appeal leading appeal being Writ Appeal No. 182/2013 and order dated 07.11.2015 in WP (C) No. 6761/2015. 3. During the course of hearing, Mr. K.R. Patgiiri learned counsel for the petitioners while referring to Annexure X series annexed to the counter affidavit of the respondent authorities, fairly submits that the process of document verification is being held for consideration of regularization of the services of the petitioners. Initially, although he had instruction that out of 20 petitioners, the names of the 8 petitioners have been left out, now, the said 8 petitioners have Page No.# 7/8 also been included. 4. Ms. A. Borthakur, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. P. Nayak, learned Standing Counsel BTC submits that the verification of documents of the petitioners is under process for which a considerable time may be taken. She also submits that the names of all the petitioners have been included for verification of the documents, which is under process. 5. Having considered the above, the respondent authorities are in the process of document verification for consideration for regularization of the services of the petitioners, I am of the considered view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending as the grievance of the petitioners for a direction to the respondent authorities to regularize the services of the petitioners is being under consideration. 6. That apart, the learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submits that he has no objection for verification of the documents of the petitioners for regularization of the services of the petitioners. 7. Considered the above, I am of the view that keeping the matter pending would serve no purpose. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. Needless to observe that, the petitioners would be at liberty to approach this Court in the event the result/ decision of the respondent authorities are not palatable to the petitioners.
