Petitioner No.1 has been appointed as Class IV employee in BC Welfare Hostel and subsequently promoted as Hostel Welfare Officer Grade II and his services were later regularized. Petitioner No.2 was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in Education Department and later’ transferred to BC Welfare Department as Hostel Welfare Officer Grade II and his services also regularized accordingly. Petitioners are now stated to be eligible to be promoted to the post of Hostel Welfare Officer Grade I as they have sufficient/considerable period of service as Grade II Officers and that there are vacancies available for considering their case for promotion. Petitioners have submitted representations dated 24.01.2025 and 29.07.2024 to respondent No.1 for considering their promotions, which are stated to be pending consideration. 3. were also Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that it would suffice to direct 4. respondent No.1 to consider the case of the petitioners for promotion by disposing the representations.
