Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. 2. The present writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned notices dated 27.10.2025 issued by Opposite Party No. 4 contained as Annexure No. 1 to this writ petition. II. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the opposite parties to interfere in the peaceful possession of the petitioners" 3. It is clear from the facts that the Lekhpal does not have the power to issue the impugned notices and the same had been admitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. 4. Learned State Counsel has submitted that the power to issue such notices is with the Tehsildar. 5. In light of the same, the impugned notices dated 27.10.2025 are quashed to set aside with a direction upon the Respondent No. 3/Tehsildar, Tehsil Sirouli Gouspur, District Barabanki to issue similar notices in accordance with law within a period of one week from date. In the event, such a notice is received by the petitioners, the petitioners Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Vijay Prakash Srivastava Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Sukesh Kumar And 3 Others .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Its Prin. Secy. Deptt. Of Revenue Lko.
