WPS/159/2021 Order Sheet 23.06.2025 Mr. Ravi Bhagat, learned counsel for the petitioner/s. Mr. Sanjeev Pandey, Dy. A. G. and Mr. Neeraj Choubey, learned counsel for the respective respondents. Respondent No. 4 is not noticed. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this writ petition was filed on 02.09.2016 with advance copies to the respondents/State and was admitted for hearing on 18.11.2016, till date the respondents No. 1 to 3 have not filed their return. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that respondents No. 3 is a formal party and is not inclined to file the return. Mr. Pandey submits that OIC was appointed on 2 / 2 Alfiza 23.11.2016. However, despite communication being made by the Advocate General Office on 18.10.2016 and 22.10.2016 return could not be filed. He prays further 4 weeks’ to file the return. On due consideration and in the interest of justice, 4 weeks’ time is granted to respondents No. 1 and 2/State to file their return subject to cost of Rs. 5,000/- to be paid to the petitioner before the next date of hearing. It is made clear that if the cost is not paid, the return shall not be accepted by the Registry of this Court. If no return is filed before the next date of hearing, respondent No. 1 shall appear before this Court through Video conferencing at 2.30 PM on 24th July, 2025.
