The Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the respondents in withholding the payment of Rs.4,37,864/- even after finalizing the bills payable to the Petitioner in relation to the work i.e. ‘Providing CC road from Pole No.18/784 to Pole No.52/37-39-A in Lawyer Nagi Reddy Street in Ward No.20, Rayachoty Municipality under GGMP funds’ vide Agreement No.668/2023-2024, dated 16.12.2023, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that Petitioner had completed the work mentioned above and final bills were also sent to the Respondent-Corporation for grant of amount to the Petitioner. As the amount was not being paid the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. At the time of hearing, learned Standing Counsel for the Respondent-Municipality passed on the written instructions signed by the Commissioner, Rayachoty Municipality, wherein the work executed by the Petitioner and the amount due to the Petitioner were not disputed. In the written instructions, it is stated that necessary steps have been taken up for passing of the bill, but the payment due to the Petitioner is not made due to financial priorities of the State Government and it is stated that whenever the funds released under GGMP-HIW Grant, the payment will be made without any delay. 3 4. In that view, as there is no dispute with regard to execution of work by the Petitioner and amount due to the Petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission, with the consent of both sides counsel, with the following directions; (i) The Respondent authorities are directed to pay the amount due to the Petitioner within a period of four (4) months from today; (ii) No order as to costs. 5.
