Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed works as entrusted by the respondents and submitted final bills. It is submitted that the competent authority has also recorded the progress of work and certified the work in the M-Book. Though the work progress was recorded in the M-Book, no amounts have been forth coming. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Government Pleader for the Finance & Planning and the learned Standing Counsel. 3. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents, on written instructions, submits that an amount of Rs.17,32,570.63 is payable to the petitioner, and that the approval bills have also been processed. However, the payments could not be made as the funds were not available, and in this regard, a letter was addressed to the concerned District Collector requesting the release of funds. It is submitted that the payment will be made upon availability of funds. 4 4. Be that as it may, there shall be a direction to the respondent authorities to verify and release the outstanding payments within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed off. No costs.
