For the Respondents: Mr. Anup Rattan, Advocate General with Mr. Rajan Kahol and Mr. B.C.Verma, Additional Advocate Generals and Mr. Ravi Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General. _______________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral): Petitioner herein, who has been working as Gardener on daily wage basis for the last five years, has approached this Court in the instant proceedings seeking direction to the respondents to convene the meeting of DPC for considering the case of the petitioner for regularization after completion of four years. 2. Though, before filing the petition at hand, petitioner has filed representation (Annexure P-4), but since needful has 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 been not done till date, he is compelled to approach this Court in the instant proceedings. 3. While putting in appearance on behalf of the respondents, Mr. Rajan Kahol, learned Additional Advocate General, fairly states that representation, if not already decided, shall be decided expeditiously. 4. Having taken note of communication dated 8th April, 2025 (Annexure P-3), this Court is persuaded to agree with learned counsel for the petitioner that Government has now decided to regularize the daily waged workers/contingent paid workers, who have completed four years service as on 31st March, 2025, subject to the conditions contained in the aforesaid communication. If it is so, petitioner, who admittedly has been working as Gardener on daily wage basis for more than five years deserves to be regularized. 5. Consequently, in view of the above, this Court without going into the merits of the case deems it fit to dispose of the same, with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the pending representation (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner expeditiously. In case, the petitioner is found entitled for regularization in terms of policy decision dated 08.04.2025, 3 needful shall be done expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks.
