W.P.(MD) No.7653 of 2023 Adi Dravidar Community to worship at Adaikalam Katha Aiyanaar Temple situated in S.No.424, Vadakadu Main Road, Vadakadu Post, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District and consequently to direct the respondent Nos.1 and 4 to forbear the respondent Nos.5 to 7 from interfering with the petitioner’s right to worship and conduct other affairs of the said temple within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondent Nos.5 to 7 have erected a volley ball post in the land belonging to the aforesaid temple and are playing volley ball therein. It is further submitted that the respondent Nos.5 to 7 are preventing the petitioner and the members of his community from worshipping in the said temple. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.5 to 7 submitted that they are not preventing the petitioner or the members of his community from worshipping in the temple. Since the relief sought by the petitioner is only to restrain respondent Nos.5 to 7 from preventing the petitioner from worshipping in the temple, and in view of the categorical submission made by the learned counsel for respondent Nos.5 to 7 that they are not interfering with the petitioner’s right of worship and that the land is a vacant poramboke land, this Court is not inclined to grant any further relief in this writ petition. 5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for respondent Nos.5 to 7 submitted that if the land is a poramboke land, no permission is required from the temple authorities. 6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
