Heard Mr. A.U. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent and Mr. P. Boiragi, learned counsel for the informant. This is an application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre- Page No.# 2/2 arrest bail to the accused/petitioner, namely, Dr. Jaher Ali who is apprehending arrest in connection with the Barpeta P.S. Case No. 197/2025 (G.R. Case No.608/2025), registered under Sections 316(4)/318(2)/336(3) of the BNS, 2023. The matter is fixed today for the case diary but it is submitted by Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam that the case has already been charge sheeted vide CS No.281/2025, dated 30.09.2025. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to approach the learned Trial Court below for his regular bail in said Barpeta P.S. Case No. 197/2025. The interim bail, granted earlier to the present petitioner on 16.09.2025 may be extended for another twenty (20) days, enabling him to appear before the learned Trial Court, with a regular bail application. Accordingly, this bail application stands disposed of. The copy of the instruction received by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam and placed before the Court, be kept as part of the record.
