Page No.# 2/3 Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner, namely, Raja Karmakar, has prayed for granting pre-arrest bail, apprehending arrest in connection with Gohpur P.S. Case No. 50/2024, registered under Section 120B/420/406/419/387 of IPC.
3. The case arose out of an Ejahar dated 06.04.2024. The facts stated in the FIR apparently quite complex, but indicating monetary transactions and one of the amounts being mentioned herein as much as Rs. 1,20,00,000/-. The instant case was lodged against the various persons including the present petitioner.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a goldsmith by profession and he has received some money in this regard for jewellery work from main accused Juri Devi.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State submits that investigation so far has found involvement of the present petitioner along with others in the racket of fraudulent monetary transactions and objected to grant of bail by submitting that it might prejudice the investigation at this stage.
6. I have perused the case diary along with bail objection. The investigating officer has contended that there is involvement of an organized group in the fraudulent activity, in which the present petitioner has found directly linked. Upon perusing the statements of some of witnesses, it emerges that the present petitioner along with others had represented themselves to be officials of the CBI. Admittedly, the petitioner is not a CBI official.
7. In the given facts and circumstances, I find force in the contention of the prosecution. Accordingly, the pre-arrest bail stands rejected at this stage and
disposed of accordingly.
