Raju, learned counsel, appearing for respondent No. 3, submitted that the engagement of Shri K. Romeo Singh, Engineering Officer, IMC, under the impugned order dated 27.06.2023 has been discontinued by the authorities and as such, no cause survives for adjudication and the present writ petition can be closed as infructuous. In this regard, the learned senior counsel, placed before this Court a letter dated 26.02.2025 from the Additional Secretary (MAHUD), Government of Manipur, addressed to the Municipal Commissioner, Imphal Municipal Corporation, directing the later to cease the re-engagement of the said Engineering Officer immediately. Mr. Anjan Prasad Sahu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that appropriate order may be passed. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is hereby closed as infructuous.
