Saravana S., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Sri. Mohammed Jaffar Shah, learned AGA appearing for respondent No.1 and have perused the material on record. 2. The petitioner is before this Court calling in question an action of the respondent - Investigating Officer directing freezement of the account of the petitioner held at various banks. 3. The petitioner gets embroiled in Crime Nos.75/2019 and 76/2019 for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 419 read with 34 of the IPC. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner taking this Court through the complaint would seek to contend that the total amount in dispute against the petitioner is about Rs.15,62,000/-, but the account of the petitioner in all the banks are frozen pursuant to the direction of the first respondent on account of registration of the crimes. - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:11616 WP No. 6393 of 2025 5. Learned AGA on instructions and verification of the records would submit the charge-sheet is filed against the petitioner and others and the total amount involved in the transaction is Rs.15,62,000/-. 6. In that light, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent Nos.4 and 5 - Bank to mark a lien on amount of Rs.15,62,000/- in total and permit the petitioner to operate the account as she was operating prior to the freezing order. 7. With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands disposed with a direction to the Bank to defreeze the account of the petitioner bearing in mind the observations made in the course of the order, without brooking any further delay.
