Prayer in the present petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.30, dated 05.04.2021, under Section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 and Section 24 of Water (Prevention & Control Pollution) Act, 1974, registered at Police Station Chohla Sahib, District Tarn Taran. Vide order dated 29.01.2025, while granting interim protection, the petitioner was directed to join investigation.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that pursuant to
order dated 29.01.2025, petitioner has joined the investigation and as such his interim bail may be made absolute. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Balwinder Singh, affirmed the fact that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is no more required for further investigation. In view of the above, interim order dated 29.01.2025 is made absolute subject to compliance of conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) BNSS.
