Heard Shri Ashish Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State and Shri Shishir Jain, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no.5. 2. Shri Shishir Jain, counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no.5 being the Standing Committee On Witness Protection, submits that the application of the petitioner was filed on 06.11.2025 before the Station House Officer and has been received by the Standing Committee On Witness Protection on 05.12.2025. He further submits that immediately they have sought for threat perception report that is to be submitted by the Superintendent of Police, Bahraich/District Magistrate, Bahraich. 3. In light of the said submission, the Superintendent of Police, Bahraich/District Magistrate, Bahraich is directed to forthwith provide threat perception report as per law within a period of four days to the respondent no.5 who shall thereafter take necessary steps in accordance with law within five days from the date of receipt of the threat perception report. 4. With the above direction, writ petition is disposed of. 5. We make it clear that if an application is made for payment of compensation under the Victim Compensation Scheme by the Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ashish Kumar Singh, Shakeel Qureshi Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Shishir Jain Shikha Singh .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Deptt. Of Home Lko. And 8 Others .....Respondent(s) petitioner within a period of one week, the authority concerned shall look into the matter and take a decision thereon expeditiously.
