Page No.# 2/3 Talukdar, learned counsel for the respondent no.2 and Ms. R. Deka, learned counsel for the respondent no.1. This contempt petition is filed by the petitioner alleging willful disobedience of the directions contained in the order dated 19.09.2022 passed in WP(C) No.6117/2022. The writ petition was filed by the petitioner which came to be disposed of directing the respondents to place the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment before the District Level Committee (DLC), Cachar district to take a decision on the merit of such an application without rejecting it on the ground that it was submitted 3 (three) months beyond the date of death of the employee concerned. Today when the matter was called up, learned counsel for the respondent no.1 has placed before the Court the minutes of the District Level Committee (DLC) meeting held on 06.02.2023 by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Karimganj, and submits that the case of the petitioner was again placed before the District Level Committee meeting and the District Level Committee has decided to recommend the claim for consideration for appointment of the petitioner against the admissible vacant post of Section Assistant in compliance of the direction of the Gauhati High Court. A copy of the minutes of the District Level Committee (DLC) meeting held on 06.02.2023 is placed before the Court and is kept on case record. In view of the decision taken by the District Level Committee (DLC) in terms of the directions contained in the order dated 19.09.2022 passed in WP(C) No.6117/2022, it appears that the directions have been duly complied with. Since the directions have already been complied with and also taking into consideration the submission of the learned counsel for the parties, this Page No.# 3/3 contempt petition stands closed.
