JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 26-08-2025 [1] Heard Mr. Sh. Athoi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Samarjit H., learned Government Advocate assisted by Mr. W. Niranjit, learned Dy. Government Advocate for the State respondents. [2] By the present writ petition, the petitioner approached this Court for quashing and setting aside the impugned proceedings for recording the name of late Laimayum (O) Binasakhi Devi in respect of the land under C.S. Dag No. 1050, Patta No. 222(Old) and 419 (New) situated at Revenue Village No. 129-Heirok Part-II, Thoubal District, Manipur and later on the basis of which the names of the private respondents have been recorded as co-pattadar. [3] Mr. Samarjit H., learned Government Advocate for the State respondents, has pointed out that the matter is pending before the Revenue Tribunal, Thoubal praying for the same prayer and basically, the petitioner is aggrieved by the entry of the name of one late L. (O) Binasakhi Devi and other private respondents in the land record. WP(C) No. 655 of 2025 [4] Mr. Sh. Athoi, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the matter is put up before the Revenue Tribunal, Thoubal. However, the petitioner is orally advised by the Tribunal to approach this Court as the Tribunal has no jurisdiction in absence of any order. [5] In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on merit and the Revenue Tribunal may pass appropriate written order in the pending matter before it.
