By filing this application, the applicant seeks for impleadment of one Smti Keerthi Jalli, IAS, Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development Department (P&RD) as the respondent No. 5 in the connected Contempt Case (C)No. 341/2023. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the applicant that the respondent No. 4, who was the Commissioner, P&RD, Assam has recently been transferred during the pendency of this proceeding and one Smti Keerthi Jalli, IAS has been posted in his place as the Commissioner, P&RD Department. Therefore, the new incumbent is required to be impleaded in the connected contempt petition. 4. Having considered the submission of the learned counsel for the applicant and considering that one Smti Keerthi Jalli, IAS has been newly posted as the Commissioner, P&RD Department in place of the respondent No. 4, as well as the prayer for impleadment not being objected to by the learned counsel for opposite parties, I deem it appropriate to allow this application by allowing impleadment of Smti Keerthi Jalli, IAS, Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development Department (P&RD) as the respondent No. 5 in the connected Contempt Case (C)No. 269/2023. 5. Accordingly, Smti Keerthi Jalli, IAS, Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development Department (P&RD) is allowed to be impleaded as the respondent No. 5 in the connected Contempt Case (C)No. 341/2023. 6.
