HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU SWP No. 657/2014 Mohd. Maqbool & Anr. …..Appellant(s)/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs State of J&K & Ors. .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Nazia Fazal, Assisting Counsel vice Mrs. Monika Kohli, Sr. AAG CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAHUL BHARTI, JUDGE ORDER (27.05.2025) 01. This is March 2014 writ petition through the medium of which the two petitioners came forward seeking writ of mandamus for release of their wages w.e.f date of their engagement i.e. 28.02.2012 along with a direction for seeking continuing release of their wages. The two petitioners also sought a direction unto the respondents for allowing the petitioners to perform their duties as casual labourers in terms of their purported engagement vide Government Order No. 239-F of 2005 dated 29.11.2005. 02. With efflux of time, this Court is of the view that the writ purpose of the petitioners has been rendered infructuous, Serial No. 77 2 SWP No. 657/2014 as such, the writ petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous by reserving right in favour of the petitioners to seek revival of the writ petition in case if the petitioners would reckon that the writ purpose was still alive at their disposal to take writ petition’s adjudication on merits to its logical end provided the petitioners seek revival of the writ petition within next (90) ninety days from the passing of this order.
