1. Heard, Mr. Bharat Gulbani, learned Panel Lawyer appearing for the respondent/State. None appears nor is any representation made on behalf of the petitioners to press this petition when the case is called out.
2. It has been pointed out that the then counsel for the petitioner Mr. Vivek Ranjan Tiwari has been designated as Senior Advocate, hence his name is not printed in the cause list.
3. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with following prayer:
“It is therefore most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to allow the petition and quash criminal proceedings initiated against the petitioners in criminal case no. 5727/2008 pending before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Raipur, District-Raipur (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Section 498-A/34 of IPC on the basis of compromise settled between the parties, in the interest of justice accordingly.”
4. In view of the fact that the trial has concluded against the petitioners, in which all of them have already been acquitted vide
order dated 14.11.2019. Therefore, the present petition has
