Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. 2. The case of the petitioner is that an admitted amount of Rs.2,78,26,000/-is pending. 3. Upon perusal of the documents annexed with the petition, it is clear that the above amount is due and payable to the petitioner as admitted by the respondent-authorities. 4. Sri Amarjeet Singh Rakhra, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited has submitted that they are in the process of making the said payment and prays that sometime may be granted so that the payment can be made. 5. Upon considering the aforesaid facts, we direct the respondent nos.4, 5 and 6 to make the payment to the petitioner of the balance amount of Rs.2,78,26,000/- within a period of six weeks from date, failing which, penal interest shall be applicable at the rate of 12% on the said amount starting from 1st January, 2026. 6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
