Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would feel satisfied that in case the instant petition is treated as a representation and a direction is issued to the respondents to accord consideration to the case of the petitioner for premature release, who is languishing behind bars for more than 17 years strictly in light of the policy invoked. 02. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length and perused the record. 03. Issue notice, which is waived by Mr. Sumeet Bhatia, learned GA on behalf of the respondents. He is not averse to the disposal of the instant writ petition by treating the same as a representation, provided the same is directed to be accorded consideration strictly under rule and as per law. 04. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the instant writ petition is taken up for disposal at the very threshold by directing the respondents to treat the instant writ petition as a representation and to accord consideration within a period of six weeks from today, a copy of this order along with writ petition and annexures are made available to the respondents Sr. No. 79 2 | P a g e WP(Crl) No. 3/2025 strictly under rule and as per law for according consideration to the premature release of the petitioner, who is languishing behind bars for more than 17 years.
