In view of the sheer efflux of time of 23 years, the trial could not be proceeded further as against these accused and the matter is kept pending for want of records. Since the accused facing the proceedings for more than 23 years, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the cases in C.C.Nos.661 of 2010 and 2 of 2012 was taken on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.3, Erode Taluk, Erode stands quashed.
