HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 1184 of 2025 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE JASPREET SINGH, J. 1. The petition has been filed purportedly in public interest seeking a direction to the respondents to remove all illegal encroachments and constructions over the public utility land in Gram Sabha Village- Bhuapur, Amhat, Pargana Meeranpur, Tehsil Sadar, District-Sultanpur. 2. Submissions have been made that land in question is recorded as 'pond' and 12 houses have been built and that further sale deeds have been executed. 3. A perusal of the record indicates that the constructions, which have been alleged as encroachments, are apparently very old and the sale deeds pertains to the year 2008 in favour of the respondent nos. 6 to 16. 4. Further the petition is totally silent qua the trigger which led the petitioner to investigate the issue and file the present petition. The petitioner, a 36 years old young man, has indicated his occupation as social worker in the affidavit despite being a B.Sc graduate, which is also reflective of the fact that the petition filed is not bona fide. The same is, therefore, dismissed. November 19, 2025 Harshita/P.Sri.
