Side) https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 21267 of 2025 ORDER The petitioner, who apprehends arrest by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 331(3), 305(a) of BNS 2023, in Crime No.67 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of prosecution is that the petitioner had stolen 100 sovereigns of gold jewels and silver anklet worth about Rs.10,00,000/- from the defacto complainant's house. Hence, the complaint. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has nothing to do with the alleged offences and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4. The learned Government Adovacate (Crl. He would also submit that if he is released on bail, he will tamper the witnesses and hamper the investigation. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 6.On considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both counsel and also on considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, and the fact that only 22 sovereigns of gold jewels only recovered from the petitioner and investigation is at the initial stage and also the fact that there is possibility of tampering the witnesses and hampering the investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 21267 of 2025 7.
