Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:27624) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 6238 of 2025 Manish Kataria, age about 44 years, S/o Shubhas Chandra Kataria, R/o Gr 109 Soudagar Mohalla, near Shyam Street, P.O. & P.S.- Ramgarh, District- Ramgarh, Jharkhand. … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. A. K. Kashyap, Sr. Advocate : Mr. Nawal Kishor Pandey, Advocate For the State : Mr. Gautam Rakesh, A.P.P. --- 03/10.09.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ranchi Sadar P.S. Case No. 56 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 305, 331 (4), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the court of Sri Abhishek Srivastava, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi. During the intervening night of 28/29.01.2025, theft was committed in the Jewellery shop of the informant. Unknown thieves took away jewelleries worth Rs. 40.00 lakhs and Rs. 50,000/- in cash. During the course of investigation, molten gold was recovered from the shop of the petitioner on the basis of confession of the co-accused. It appears that petitioner is accused in as many as 7 cases. Considering the nature of allegation and criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
