Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2. The petitioners were arraigned as A.1 and A.2 in Crime No. 146 of 2024 of Anantapur II Town Police Station, Anantapuramu District, registered for the alleged offences under Sections 354D, 506, 509 read with 34 of IPC Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000-2008. 3. It is alleged in the complaint that the petitioners text the indecent messages to the 2"^^ respondent and when she complained the same before the Women Commission, Amaravati, in turn threatened the I petitioners with dire consequences saying that they would her bare images in the social media, if she would not withdraw the case. 4. The veracity of the allegations made in the complaint would come to light during the course of the investigation. At this juncture, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the investigation. However, the offences alleged against the petitioner would attract a punishment of less than seven years, the Station House Officer, Anatapur II Town Police Station, Anantapuramu District, is directed to follow the procedure as contemplated under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, insofar as the petitioners are concerned, for the purpose of investigation in connection with Crime No. 146 of 2024. This order CRLP. No.5329 of 2025 would not preclude the investigation officer from filing a charge sheet final report after completion of the investigation. 5. Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed of. 6.
