By way of the said application, a prayer has been made for conversion of the instant CRMP into an appeal under Section 14A(1) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (in short “the Act, 1989”). 3. Upon due consideration, it appears that the impugned acquittal judgment has also been passed for the offence under the Act, 1989. 4. In view of the above, the prayer made is allowed. 5. Accordingly, IA No.3/2024 stands disposed of. 6. Consequently, IA No.2/2024, an application for withdrawal of the instant CRMP also stands disposed of. 7. Registry is directed to make the necessary corrections in the record. The matter be registered as an Acquittal Appeal under the Act 1989 and thereafter, it be listed after eight weeks. 8.
