By the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed following reliefs:- 10.1 the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to grant compassionate appointment to the petitioner on account of death of his father late Vijay Kaushal. 10.2 the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to decide the pending application for grant of compassionate appointment dated 05.11.2019 within stipulated time. 10.3 Any other relief, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper, may also be passed in favour of the petitioner together with cost of the petition, in the interest of justice 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that father of petitioner died in harness on 22.12.2011 while working as Cleaner with Respondent department. On the date of death of his father, petitioner was minor. After attaining age of majority, petitioner approached the authority upon which he was directed to submit succession certificate and other relevant documents. Pursuant to the direction, petitioner submitted succession certificate as also other relevant documents along with application for grant of compassionate appointment. Petitioner submitted the application before Respondents, however, till date the application submitted by petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment is not considered and decided and therefore direction be issued to 3 / 3 Respondents take decision on the pending application within specified time. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner, seeking direction to take decision on the pending application, he is having no objection. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of grievance, submission of learned counsel for petitioner that the application for grant of compassionate appointment submitted by the petitioner is still pending consideration, without commenting anything on merits of the case, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing the Respondent No.5 to take decision on the application submitted by petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a further period of 03 months from the date of receipt of order passed by this Court SD/- (BIBHU DATTA GURU) JUDGE Amardeep
