All the present Batch of Writ petitions instituted by the petitioner company i.e. BHEL - Heavy plates & vessels Plant (Formerly known as Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels (BHPV) are challenging the orders passed by the Respondent, who is the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, by which directed the writ petitioner company to pay revised / differential Gratuity amounts in favour of the 2. Respondent/(retired Employees) in terms of their respective claims made under the provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 and Rules thereon. The petitioner company questioned the above said awards before this Court through these multiple writ petitions. 14 3. This Court way back in the year 2016, at the time of admission of the instant cases, granted interim orders subject to the petitioner company paying 1/3'"^ of the awarded amount to respondent No.2 - Retired employees and also notices were directed to be issued to respondent No.2 - Retired Employees. But, inspite of serving notices to the employees, none entered appearance on behalf of them to represent their version before this Court. 4. Today, when the matters are taken up for hearing, Sri P.Raja Sekhar, learned Standing Counsel for the petitioner company represented that previously in similar writ petitions in W.P.No.10073 of 2016 and batch, this Court passed common order permitting them to withdraw the writ petitions. He further submits that he also filed e-ma/7 communication dated: 02.05.2025 received from the petitioner company informing that they have released payment of revised / differential Gratuity amounts to (53) Ex-Employees in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018 itself in that batch of writ petitions. 5. The learned Standing Counsel for the petitioner company further submits that the petitioner company would not like to 15 pursue the present batch of writ petitions also and seeks to pass similar orders permitting them to withdraw these batch of cases also. 6. Recording the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel Sri P.Raja Sekhar, for the petitioner company and also in view of the fact that previously this Court passed orders in W.P.No.10073 of 2016 and batch permitting the petitioners to withdraw the writ petitions, following the same, the present writ petitions are also dismissed as withdrawn.
