Heard Mr. S. M. Abdullah P, learned counsel appearing for the accused petitioners as well as Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Page No.# 2/3 Assam. 2. By this petition under Section 483 BNSS, the accused-petitioners, namely, Sona Miya and Akizul Ali who were arrested on 31.07.2025 in connection with Jalukbari PS Case No. 271/2025 under Section 303(2)/317(2) BNS R/W Sections 11/13(1) of Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021 are seeking bail. 3. The gist of the allegation is the interception of two vehicles from where 14 nos. cattle have been found and the accused persons allegedly could not show sufficient documentation. They were the driver and handyman 4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that they are stated to be in under trial detention since 31.07.2025. In the meantime, the cattle have been seized and also given zimma to one Yeachin Ali stated to be owner. 5. Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State submits that the investigation has progressed and the statement of the witnesses have already been recorded. 6. In view of the progress of investigation, I am of the considered opinion that the accused can be granted bail at this stage subject to suitable condition(s). 7. Accordingly, it is provided that the accused petitioners, named above, shall be released on bail of Rs.20,000/- each (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Kamrup(M). 8. The direction for bail is further subject to the conditions: Page No.# 3/3 (a) That the accused persons shall co-operate with remaining investigation; and (b) That the accused persons shall not hamper or tamper any evidence. 9.
