In the present case, the mutation has been done in favour of the petitioners by the Tehsildar. The petitioners have approached this Court seeking direction upon the District Magistrate to decide his representation dated September 26, 2025 and for direction on the District Magistrate to provide possession of the land Gata No.327, 342 and 357 situated at Village Gaurawa Kalan, Pargana-Pahadpur, Tehsil-Colonelganj, District Gonda. 3. In our view, in the present case there is an alternative remedy available to the petitioners and the petitioners can file a declaratory suit under Section 144 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006. 4. In light of the same, the writ petition is disposed of with direction upon the petitioners to file a declaratory suit within a period of two weeks from date. If such suit is filed within a period of two weeks, the authority concerned is directed to expedite the hearing of the declaratory suit and pass final orders within a period of six months from date of filing of the petition.
