Heard Shri Ashutosh Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Rahul Shukla, learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. By means of the present petition, the petitioner has sought the issuance of a direction to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sarojini Nagar/Prescribed Authority under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 to decide the Election Petition No.2161 of 2025 under Section 25(1) of the Societies Registration Act, 1860, expeditiously. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the aforesaid petition has been filed challenging the validity of the elections of Committee of Management of a society of which, the tenure is of one year only. The prescribed Authority has heard submissions and reserved the matter for order on three previous occasions but the matter has not been decided and the tenure of the Managing Committee would expire in the month of December, 2025 itself. 4. The learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate concerned and has submitted that the election petition will be decided within a period of two weeks. 5. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed off by issuing a direction to the Sub- Divisional Magistrate/Presiding Officer, Sarojini Nagar to decide the election petition of the petitioner positively, within a period of two weeks from today. .
