Heard Sri Satish Kumar Mishra, the learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Alok Srivastava, the learned Standing Counsel for the State of U.P., Smt. Aditi Tripathi, the learned counsel for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and Sri Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava, the learned counsel for the University Grants Commission. 2. By means of the instant writ petition, the petitioner has sought issuance of a direction to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University to accept the enrollment-cum-examination form for lateral entry into B.Tech II year examination for the academic Session 2025-26 in ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida. 3. The learned counsel for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University has submitted that the petitioner's form was not accepted/processed because he claims to have obtained Diploma in Engineering from Sikkim International University, which is mentioned in the portal of University Grants Commission as a defaulter university. 4. The learned counsel for the University Grants Commission has stated on the basis of written instructions provided to him through e-mail that Sikkim International University is a valid university, which is also Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Satish Kumar Mishra, Surya Narayan Mishra Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Aditi Tripathi, Atul Kumar Dwivedi, Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava Kushal Mishra Thru. In response to the aforesaid statement made by the learned counsel for the University Grants Commission on the basis of written instructions, the learned counsel for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University states that as the University Grants Commission has clarified that Sikkim International University is a valid university, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University will accept and process the petitioner's application. 6. In view of the aforesaid statement made by the learned counsel for the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, the writ petition stands disposed of.
