Mr. G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology issued an advertisement No.A-20/2015, whereby, applications were invited for appointment to various faculty positions including that of Assistant Professor (Statistics). 4. Petitioner was not fulfilling the eligibility requirement as indicated in the advertisement, therefore, he filed this writ petition in the year 2015, challenging the general essential qualifications for all the posts, as being violative of Article 14 and 16. 5. Learned senior counsel appearing for University makes a statement at the Bar that the writ petition has become infructuous, as the selection process initiated by the aforesaid advertisement has completed long back. 6. This Court finds substance in the said submission. In the absence of any interim order staying the selection 2025:UHC:1237-DB process, the selection process must have been completed and the selected candidate would have been appointed by now. 7.
