2 Three writ petitions are taken up for consideration analogously since similar issue is involved in these three writ petitions. Petitioners in these three writ petitions participated in 1st State Level Selection Test 2016 (Upper Primary) which is confined to 10% vacancies for para teachers. Petitioners uploaded their respective testimonials in terms of the notice issued by the concerned authority of West Bengal Central School Service Commission (hereinafter referred to as ‘Commission’) and pursuant thereto a list was published on the website of the Commission containing names of candidates including the petitioners who were permitted to have their testimonials physically verified subsequent thereto. Though names of the petitioners featured in the list prepared by the Commission for physical verification of their testimonials but they could not present themselves on the fixed date for such verification. Common prayer is made in these three writ petitions seeking direction upon the Commission which would permit them to have their testimonials verified in consideration of the fact that their names featured in the aforesaid list. 3 Previously matter was heard on 22nd April, 2025 when Dr. Patra, learned advocate representing the Commission prayed for accommodation to obtain instruction. Today, it is submitted on behalf of the Commission that since the petitioners approached this Court within reasonable time after the date fixed for physical verification their cases may be considered subject to direction to be passed by this Court.
Having considered the case made out in the writ petition and submissions made on behalf of the Commission this Court directs the concerned authority of the Commission to physically verify the testimonials of the petitioners within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of communication of this order. This order is passed in view of the fact that petitioners have approached this Court within a short span of time after the date fixed by the Commission for physical verification of their testimonials. This order is passed in aforesaid special circumstances. All the three writ petitions stand disposed of. In view of the order passed today in the aforesaid three writ petitions application being CAN 1 of 2024 filed in connection with WPA 8385
4 of 2024 stands disposed of granting leave to the applicant to take steps in accordance with law. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
