With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is taken up for disposal at this stage. 2. The case set up by the petitioner is that respondent No.3 passed an office order on 30.11.2024 at Annexure P-2 imposing penalty of recovery of Rs.1,72,000/- upon the petitioner pursuant to a charge-sheet issued against him under Rule 16 of CCS(CC&A) Rules, 1965. The petitioner preferred an appeal against the aforesaid order on 21.12.2024 (sic 30.12.2024) to respondent No.2. Till date, 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 the said appeal has not been decided, despite petitioner’s repeated request in that regard. 3. Looking to the limited grievance of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2 to consider and decide the aforesaid appeal preferred by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, in any case, within eight weeks from today, in accordance with law.
