HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW CRIMINAL MISC. BAIL APPLICATION No. - 11926 of 2025 Court No. - 12 HON'BLE PANKAJ BHATIA, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned AGA and perused the record. 2. The applicant seeks enlargement on bail in FIR No.266 of 2025, under Section 80(2), 85, 115(2), 352 BNS & Section 3/4 of D.P. Act, P.S. Ramnagar, District Barabanki. 3. In terms of the FIR it was alleged that daughter of the informant was married to the applicant around three years ago. Subsequently, the entire matrimonial family had killed her for dowry. Cause of death, as per the postmortem report, is antemortem hanging and apart from the ligature mark, contusion injuries were observed on the right and left legs, which according to the counsel for the applicant, happen at the time of lowering the body. It is argued that the co-accused i.e. father-in-law has been enlarged on bail. The applicant is husband of the deceased. 4. Learned AGA has opposed the bail application. 5. Considering the postmortem report and there being nothing on record to demonstrate that soon before her death the victim was harassed mentally or physically at the instance of the applicant in relation to demand of dowry, the applicant is entitled to be enlarged on bail.
