ORAL ORDER
1. The registration of the FIR is being questioned primarily on the ground that the petitioner has been implicated solely on the basis of a confession statement by the co-accused, without any corroborative evidence to substantiate the allegation made against him.
2. The learned High Court Government Pleader for the respondent-State submitted that the crime registered against the petitioner is still under investigation. At this stage, the FIR cannot be interfered with merely because the petitioner has been implicated solely on the basis of the co-accused’s confession statement, as the Investigating Officer is likely to gather corroborative material during the course of the investigation.
3. Therefore, it is expedient to dispose of the petition by directing the Investigating Officer to conduct
