For Petitioner(s): Mr.P.P.Shanmugasundaram For Respondent(s): Ms.S.R.Sumathy ORDER This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to handover the jewels that were pledged on 31.12.2015 by considering the representation made by the petitioner on 19.09.2022. 2.Heard Mr.P.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.S.R.Sumathy, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 3.The jewel loan was availed by the husband of the petitioner. He died on 05.08.2016 leaving behind his mother, the petitioner, one son and one daughter. The loan amount was repaid back in the year 2017. Thereafter, the son and daughter gave a no objection to handover the jewels pledged to the mother who is the petitioner herein. In spite of the same, it was not acted upon on and the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to handover the jewels that were pledged for Agricultural Jewel Loan No.639853669 to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
