The subject-matter of the writ petition is a recruitment process initiated by an Advertisement dated 01.03.2023, published by the Deputy Commissioner, Nalbari inviting applications for filling up 18 nos. of sanctioned vacant posts of Lot Mandal [Grade-III] within the amalgamated establishment of the Deputy Commissioner, Nalbari. 3. The recruitment process was initiated and thereafter, reached a certain stage. But thereafter, the recruitment process was halted. 4. The petitioners were participants in the recruitment process. 5. In deference to the Order dated 03.09.2025, Ms. Bhattacharjee has placed an Order bearing no. PER-36/490/2023/473 dated 28.08.2025 passed by the District Commissioner [earlier, Deputy Commissioner, Nalbari]. By the Order dated 28.08.2025, the recruitment process for filling up 18 nos. of vacant posts of Lot Mandal has been cancelled with immediate effect. 6. In view of the cancellation of the recruitment process initiated by the Advertisement dated 01.03.2023, the writ petition has been rendered Page No.# 3/3 infructuous without any challenge to the Order dated 28.08.2025. 7. In the above view of the matter, the subject-matter of the writ petition, having been rendered infructuous, is closed.
