Heard Sri Ved Prakash Sharma, the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records. 2. On an oral request made by learned counsel for the petitioner he is permitted to delete the name of State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Lucknow. 3. By means of the instant petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a direction to the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Lucknow to decide First Appeal No.1874 of 2016 new No.SA/9/A/1874/2016: National Insurance Company Limited Vs. Cropaid Marketing and others, under Section 15 Consumer Protection Act, 1986 expeditiously. 4. The aforesaid appeal is pending for more than nine years. The petitioner is respondent in the appeal and he has put in appearance and filed objection on 09.01.2017. 5. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is suffering due to pendency of appeal for such an unreasonable long period. 6. As the appeal is pending for more than 9 years, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Lucknow to decide First Appeal No.1874 of 2016 new No.SA/9/A/1874/2016: National Insurance Company Limited Vs. Cropaid Marketing and others, under Section 15 Consumer Protection Act, 1986 expeditiously in accordance with law without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties and by fixing dates at short intervals.
