The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent nos. 1 & 2 to withdraw the Registration(No.UK0606942024013059 dated 15.04.2024) of Society named Sh. Shiv Mandir Samiti, Durga Enclave, Narayan Chowk, Ward No.60, Dandalakhond, Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun. 2. Heard Mr. Vinod Nautiyal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Suyash Pant, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent nos.1 & 2. 3. Mr. Vinod Nautiyal, Advocate, has contended that the respondent no.2 registered Shri Shiv Mandir 2025:UHC:790 2 Samiti on 15.04.2024 for five years bearing registration no. UK0606942024013059. The petitioner sent a letter dated 17.01.2025 to the respondent no.2 requesting to cancel the said registration. The said letter dated 17.01.2025 is still pending. 4. Mr. Vinod Nautiyal, Advocate has requested to dispose of the present writ petition directing the respondent no.2 to decide the petitioner’s letter dated 17.01.2025. 5. Mr. Suyash Pant, Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent nos.1 & 2 has sought six weeks’ time to decide the said letter dated 17.01.2025. 6. With the consent of learned counsel for both the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide the said letter dated 17.01.2025 by a speaking order as expeditiously as possible, but not later than six weeks from the date of production of the certified copy of this order. 7.
