For the Respondents Mr. Rahul Thakur, Advocate. _______________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral): Through instant petition, prayer has been made on behalf of the petitioner for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for their having intentionally and willfully disobeyed the mandate contained in the judgment dated 07.03.2025 passed by Co- ordinate Bench of this Court in CWP No. 6688 of 2023 titled as Praveen Kumar vs. Himachal Road Transport Corporation and others, which was disposed of on the basis of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondents that arrears due to the petitioners under office order dated 29.10.2024 shall be released in his favour within a period of eight weeks. Since despite there being afore direction issued by this Court, respondents failed to release the entire amount within a period of eight weeks, petitioner has approached this Court in the instant proceedings. 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2. Mr. Rahul Thakur, Advocate, while putting appearance on behalf of the respondents, has made available communication dated 16.07.2025, issued under the signatures of Divisional Manager (HQ) Himachal Road Transport Corporation, Shimla, to state that in view of the Government notification dated 07.01.2012, total amount of arrears amounting to Rs. 10, 25,765/- has been agreed to be paid in five installments i.e. Rs. 2, 05,153/- each. First installment of Rs. 2, 05,153/- has been paid to the petitioner vide cheque No. 502202, dated 16.07.2022. However, this Court having taken note of specific undertaking given by learned counsel for the respondents at the time of disposal of petition, as detailed hereinabove, called upon counsel for the respondents to have fresh instructions. 3. Mr. Rahul Thakur, learned counsel for the respondents, after having obtained fresh instructions submits before this Court that in any eventuality, entire amount due to be paid to the petitioner shall be paid within a period of one year, which proposal is acceptable to learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the respondents to ensure that entire amount of Rs. 10, 25,765/- is paid to the petitioner within a period of one year, failing which, petitioner is at liberty to get the present 3 proceedings revived, so that appropriate action is taken against the erring officials.
